Introducing: Sam, Rachel, Wendy, Patrick, Katherine, and Renee!

Hey Guys!! 

So this week, my cousins, Sam and Rachel, and their mom, Wendy, were visiting us. They also had their friends, Renee, who is the mom, and Patrick and Katherine, who are 13 and 16. If you were in Ms Roterman's class last year, you probably remember that you Skyped us when we were here last March, and my cousins were there. Well, these are the same cousins! Sam and Rachel are 14, almost 15 yr old twins. They got here on Sunday, and on Monday and Tuesday, I got to skip school because I was "sick." On Wednesday it was my last day of school so I only had a half day. On Monday, we were going to go to the beach, but it was kinda rainy, so we went to a castle, which I think is the oldest building in South Africa, but I'm not sure, so don't quote me on that one :). Later on Monday, the weather cleared up, so we went to the Pavilion, which are the pools, but they have AWESOME diving boards!! On Tuesday, my cousins went out, but later we all went to the beach. On Wednesday, we went to a beach called Muizenberg, which is just a normal beach except you can actually swim there, because its on the other side of Cape Town, so its the Indian Ocean. Muizenberg also has water slides, so all the kids went on those, while the grownups were on the beach. Me and Patrick tried to go down the slides together, but he ended up going just in front of me, so at the end of the slides, we WHACKED into each other. (Pat, I know for a fact that you're not reading this, but in the tiny case you are, I AM SO SO SO SORRY and PS: my tooth STILL hurts) :) On Thursday, we climbed up Lions Head, and YES, we made it all the way to the top!! *pats herself on back*. On Friday, and this is really my most exciting news, WE WENT SURFING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG WOW!!!! IT WAS SO FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And YES, I DID stand up, thank you very much for asking!! :D Here are some pictures from throughout the week! Wine Country!

Hey Guys!!

So, today I went to the wine country with my mom, dad, grandpa, and my mom's cousin Steve, who is visiting us because tomorrow is a big bike race that he and my mom and dad are all doing together. The wine country is where a lot of wine in the country is made, (surprise surprise) but it also has lots of nice hotels and restaurants, and you can tour the places to see how the wine is made and stuff like that. We went to a place called the Deli Cat Essen for lunch, then we drove around for a while and went to a winery to taste some wine, or, in my case, do handstands!! :p Comment below and I'll see you later! Rachel's Bat Mitzvah!

Hey Guys!!

So, in my last blog I said I would blog on Sunday about the bat mitzvah, but I was really tired and my grandpa came, so I didn't have time, SO I am doing it right........... NOW!!!!

Ok, first of all, the bat mitzvah was my friend Rachel's. It was very fun, because everyone in my grade was there, so I had PLENTY of people to hang out with :) I think you guys would've loved it... there was dancing, singing, and Popsicles!! :) I mean seriously, what's not to love, right?! The party went from 8 until midnight, and so on Sunday I was seriously pooped. My friend Gav said to me today that he was STILL pooped, so I guess I recovered fast compared to him :) 

 On Sunday, the people who live downstairs had a party, and there were some kids who were my age there, and they were super nice and funny. We were swimming ALL afternoon, so I was pretty much exhausted. I finally recovered after school today, then it was off to ballet and I was exhausted again. Tonight we went for dinner on the beach, and I will post pictures of that soon, I just haven't uploaded them yet :)
