BEA'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Aloha fellow humans!!!

HAHA :D Hey Guys!!
So as a lot of you guys know, BEA is here until July 10!! I am so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so SO happy that she is here!!! Here are a few things we have been doing:

SPUD 2!!!!!!
We went to see a HILARIOUS movie called Spud 2: The Madness Continues. It is a South African story (the second in a series) and its also a book series by John van de Ruit. I am not positive if you can get it in the US because it is South African but if you can you HAVE TO!!!!! The movies are hilarious and the books are even funnier... well in me and Bea's opinion they are funnier!! :D Here are sone quotes from the first and second books, just to give you an idea of how funny they are:

Character List:
Spud - main character, has a girlfriend who he calls Mermaid but her real name is Debbie, reading Lord of the Rings, goes to an all-boys boarding school and him and his first-year dorm mates are called the Crazy Eight
Wombat - Spud's grandmother, his mom's mom, certified mad in 1977, calls Spud David and Dad Roy, thinks she is the queen of England and signs all documents "Elizabeth Windsor"
Dad - Spud's dad, also crazy, makes it his life's mission to have Wombat arrested/killed, afraid of communists, Nelson Mandela, and South Africa falling to ruins
Mom - Spud's mom, daughter of Wombat, probably could've been normal but married Spud's dad, also afraid of communists
Buster Cracknell - Wombat's neighbor and the main suspect in her disappearing yoghurt saga

First Book: Spud
Tuesday, 28 March, 1990: Milton Family Easter Holiday
1:08pm
Wombat hasn't stopped prattling on since we left Durban. Her worsening senility means she's told us every story many times before. Mom doesn't allow us to tell her about the constant repetitions because it makes Wombat confused and anxious. In hushed tones, Wombat told us for the fourth time this morning that she suspects that Buster Cracknell is now stealing her yoghurt. She reckons he's using the spare key to break into her flat and then gorges himself on her Woolworth's Strawberry Delight. We all nodded and shook our heads. Mom promised Wombat that she'd investigate the situation. (Wombat apparently phones the police every morning to report the matter - they have threatened to prosecute her for crank calls.) After passing Bethlehem, (a small town in the Orange Free State, and definitely not the place of Jesus' birth) my father burst into operatic song in the middle of the fifth repeat of the yoghurt story. Wombat told my father he was rude and unpleasant and that he should try to be more like David (Me?). Mom shook her head at him and dug her nails into his leg. Dad stopped singing.

THE END

Second book: The Madness Continues
Wednesday 23rd January

Feeling homesick. Called home but Mom said she was on her way out. In desperation I phoned Wombat for a chat but she thought I was a Jehovah's Witness so she told me I was Jewish, shouted, "Yom Kippur! Yom Kippur!" and hung up.

THE END

TABLE MOUNTAIN!!!!!!!
Yesterday we went up Table Mountain, which is this awesome flat mountain that has a TON of places to climb on the top and you can just walk around and explore! And since it is a big mountain you can see the city from the top which is awesome. Here are some pictures:

Me and Bea on top of a large-ish rock :D

A really cool (but disgusting) bug that Bea found and I took pictures of because she ran away screaming!! xD It got very confused and kept following me around.... hmmm.... (Bea says "ITS GROSS!!!!) :D

The view of a mountain (Lion's Head) and some of the city of Cape Town from the top of Table Mountain!! :D

Also at Table Mountain, we had really really sweet lemon meringue cupcakes with marshmallow whipped cream which were really yummy but so sweet that we couldn't finish them!!

Don't forget to comment below, we love you all SO MUCH, and we'll see you soon!!

XOXO,

Leah and Bea
